Terms of use

VillageGather is a parent-directed tool for families to discover compatible local connections. By using VillageGather, you agree to use it lawfully, respectfully, and only as an adult parent or guardian.

Parent accounts only

You must be 18 or older to create an account. Children may not create accounts, message other users, or arrange introductions through VillageGather.

Profiles and family information

You are responsible for keeping profile details accurate, respectful, and appropriate for a parent-facing service. Do not post private addresses, full child identities, sensitive records, or content you do not have permission to share.

Matches and Local Plans

Suggested matches, Local Plans, calendars, RSVPs, and plan tools are discovery aids. They do not create an obligation to respond, attend, host, supervise, transport, or accept contact from another family. When creating or considering an in-person plan, prefer public, family-friendly spaces.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for what you share, whom you contact, and how you handle any in-person plan outside the app. Use public places such as libraries, parks, museums, community centers, or other family-friendly public spaces. Trust your judgment, keep communication parent-led, and do not share private details until you are comfortable.

Communication preferences

VillageGather may offer email and mobile alerts for matches, intro requests, Local Plan activity, RSVPs, account notices, and safety-related updates. You can manage optional alert preferences in Settings. Important account, security, or safety messages may still be sent when needed to operate the service.

Mobile app and subscriptions

The VillageGather mobile app may open VillageGather.com or third-party payment pages for subscription checkout, billing management, support, or policy review. Paid access can apply across devices when your account is recognized as eligible, but subscription payments, cancellations, invoices, refunds, and tax handling may be managed by third-party payment providers and their own terms.

Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Payment is charged through the provider used at purchase, such as Apple, Google, or Stripe. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through the same provider used to subscribe. Canceling a subscription stops future renewal but does not automatically delete your VillageGather account. Subscription access remains available through the end of the paid billing period unless otherwise stated by the payment provider.

Account moderation

We may review, limit, suspend, or remove accounts, reports, profile images, Local Plans, RSVPs, or other content that appears unsafe, misleading, abusive, spammy, or inconsistent with these terms.

Privacy and visibility controls

Settings may let you pause discovery visibility, hide from Directory, block profiles, remove profile images, and request account deletion. Some changes may not remove information already shared with another parent before the setting changed.

No guarantee

VillageGather helps with discovery and introductions, but it does not verify every claim a user makes and does not guarantee compatibility, safety, availability, attendance, response times, or outcomes.
